Chill Smith is a Paterson, New Jersey-born rapper, music producer, and audio engineer with over two decades of hands-on experience in the booth and behind the mixing desk. Deeply rooted in authentic hip-hop, his signature sound fuses sharp, reflective social commentary with self-produced, atmospheric beats—crafted primarily across Ableton Live and Pro Tools. Beyond his solo catalog, he works as a studio tracking/mixing engineer and community music educator, and mentor. Over his career, he has shared stages with hip-hop icons including Joe Budden, Pharoahe Monch, Sage Francis, Sugar Hill Gang, Kosha Dillz, Tsu Surf, and Nappy Roots across legendary East Coast venues like The Stone Pony and House of Indepenents.
